INSTALL REMOTELY-MONITORED CCTV IN ALL U.S. PRISONS AND/OR POLICE DEPARTMENTS ETC!

 

John recently spoke to an anonymous individual who was arrested by the Santa Clara Police Department (and/or S.C.P.D.) for allegedly being drunk in public within the past few months. After this said individual was transported to the S.C.P.D. jail for holding; he was then attacked by a fellow inmate. While attempting to restrain this attacker; an S.C.P.D. Officer entered the jail cell and proceeded to throw this same anonymous individual to the ground in an attempt to restrain him. 

Using excessive force; the Officer then allegedly folded the anonymous individuals' arms and legs in back of him; then stepped down and crushed the anonymous individuals' entire body to the ground using his foot; causing what appears to be permanent injury to the anonymous individuals' thumb. (Hospital records of the injuries are available; photos of the injuries were also taken and onsite surveillance footage is available). But! the anonymous individual has apparently been coerced and/or intimidated by his violent encounter with the S.C.P.D. and is therefore afraid to follow up on it. 

This particular questionable incident then caused John to think of a new idea mandating remote third-party federal monitoring of all incarcerated individuals; so John then created a new petition to help bring about this much needed change. NOTE: The above petition was inspired by a previous wildly successful petition (11,000+ signatures gathered so far) created by John similarly stating: "WE THE UNDERSIGNED respectfully ask the President to draft and sign and executive order mandating all animal processing facilities (slaughterhouses etc) in the United States to have 24-hour surveillance monitoring cameras operated and monitored by the U.S.D.A. to save time and money and improve general animal welfare by allowing mass remote surveillance of multiple facilities from distant locations..."
