The CROSSWALK1X video below shows two examples of the sometimes dangerous conditions for those who use the crosswalk at Dunford Way and Thunderbird Avenue.

LIFE OR COMMERCE? The crosswalk seen on the front cover of the Beatles album "Abbey Road" was the result of a national debate in the UK regarding pedestrian safety -- What is more important? Life or commerce? I think we ALL know the answer to that one...

UPDATE 17 apr 2015: The state law crosswalk sign seen in the foreground of the photo above has been knocked over various times in the past few years; and the last time it was stolen. John called the City of Sunnyvale (City Managers' office etc) each time and they have replaced this sign each time; sometimes taking longer than other times.

Questions: Why has the city of Santa Clara failed to install a crosswalk sign at Dunford Way and Thunderbird Avenue after almost a decade? And how will the proposed new development at El Camino Real and Lawrence Expressway affect local traffic patterns?
